OK, so maybe it's sacrilege, and no disrespect meant to the dead, but I've never been able to get into any Bathory albums I've tried. However, I really like this. Therefore, to me, Bloodshed Walhalla is better than Bathory. There, I said it. Whatcha gonna do about it?

I think the track "Celestial Horizon" is one of my favorites of all-time. I can't even explain it - the pure desolation mixed with an immense reverence for nature combines to create something truly magical. The cello part at the end of "Fog of War" is similarly dark and ethereal. This album is a true gem.
